Allianz Funds to Disclose Portfolio Holdings Sooner

3/30/2010

Allianz Funds’ shareholders are going to know what they own sooner thanks to a recent change to the fund family’s disclosure policies.

Effective March 31, portfolio holdings will be disclosed on the Web site,  us.allianzgi.com, approximately five business days after the end of the month. Previously, the policy called for a roughly 30-day lag.

The move toward more timely disclosure is designed to increase the level of transparency across our fund lineup and ease concerns among fund shareholders about the underlying securities in the funds they own. The policy change comes on the heels of a global financial crisis that forced some of the most established companies either out of business or into fire-sale acquisitions due to toxic assets held on their balance sheets.

The new disclosure policy far exceeds what is required by regulators. The Securities and Exchange Commission requires all mutual fund portfolio holdings to be disclosed no more than 60 days after the end of each quarter. Allianz Funds reports its holdings on a monthly basis.

If you have any questions about the new disclosure policies, then please contact your Allianz Global Investors representative at 1-800-926-4456 (financial advisors) or 1-800-201-3913 (RIAs.)
