How do I invest with the Allianz Funds family?

Talk to your financial advisor about how to invest in our funds. Advisors are equipped to discuss the available investment options and can help you open an account.

If you are a retail investor who wishes to purchase shares directly without the help of a financial advisor, then you must review a prospectus, complete an application and deliver it to us for processing. Both the prospectus and account applications are available on the Literature Forms and Applications page.

If you are an institutional investor and wish to invest in the Allianz Funds Institutional Classes, please call 1-800-498-5413.

Class D Investors must contact a financial advisor as Class D shares cannot be purchased directly.

How do I sign up for e-delivery?

Sign up for e-Delivery of financial reports, prospectuses and proxy statements.

If your Allianz Funds account is held directly with Allianz Global Investors, then you may download account statements and view transaction history by registering for online Account Access.

Currently, account statements cannot be delivered to you electronically.

If your statement was prepared by a broker/dealer, then please contact the firm for more information about e-delivery.

What is the minimum investment for a mutual fund?

The minimum initial investment required when opening a Allianz Funds retail account in Class A, C or D shares is generally $1,000.00 per fund. The minimum for subsequent purchases is $50.00.

The minimum initial investment when opening an Allianz Funds institutional account is generally $1 million. There is no minimum for subsequent purchases in institutional share classes.

Can foreign investors purchase your funds?

Allianz  Funds are registered for sale only in the United States and its territories.

Allianz Global Investors offers a series of offshore mutual funds run by some of its institutional sub-advisors. The funds, domiciled in several European countries, offer exposure to non-U.S. markets such as China and Hong Kong, U.S. equities and niche market segments including environmentally-conscious investing and high-tech growth. However, they are not available for distribution to or investment by investors in the United States.

Where can I find yield/dividend information?

For funds that are expected to pay dividends on a monthly or quarterly basis, yield information can be found on the fund’s Performance page. Historical dividend and pricing information can also be found on the Performance and About this Fund pages. To access our funds use the drop-down on the right hand side of the page. For mutual fund tax information visit the Tax Information area under Education and Planning.

How do I exchange shares between funds?

A retail shareholder may exchange Class A, B, C, D and R shares of any fund for the same class of shares of any other fund. All exchanges are subject to minimum initial purchase requirements. If your account is held directly with Allianz Global Investors, then please contact an Investor Services Representative at 1-800-988-8380 for assistance in processing your transaction.

An institutional shareholder may exchange Institutional, Administrative and P Class shares of any Allianz fund for the same class of shares of any other Allianz fund. All exchanges are subject to minimum initial purchase requirements. If your account is held directly with Allianz Global Investors, then please contact an Investor Services Representative at 1-800-498-5413 for assistance in processing your transaction.

If your account is held at a brokerage firm, then you will need to contact your financial advisor directly for more information.

Where do I go for investment advice?

Allianz Global Investors does not have its own financial advisors or referral service.  Shareholders will need to speak with their own financial advisors to obtain investment advice.

Where can I find a prospectus?

Prospectuses for our mutual funds are available on the Literature page.

Prospectuses for our closed-end funds are available on the EDGAR database of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s website. You may also obtain copies of this information by sending an electronic request to the SEC at publicinfo@sec.gov, or by writing to the Public Reference Section of the Commission, Washington, D.C. 20549-0102.

How do I invest in your 529 College Savings Plans?

Allianz Global Investors Distributors offers a nationwide 529 college savings plan, CollegeAccess 529, as well as two state-specific plans–OklahomaDream 529 Plan (Oklahoma) and the MI 529 Advisor Plan (Michigan).

The state-specific plans provide in-state residents with additional tax benefits for investing in their home state’s 529 Plan. Investors interested in any of the above referenced plans can learn more by visiting the plan websites listed below or by consulting with their financial advisors.

The CollegeAccess 529 Plan is also offered directly (without the use of a financial advisor) to residents of the State of South Dakota.

Where can I find closed-end fund information?

For immediate access to closed-end fund details, please visit the Closed-End Funds section on our website. You may also contact Shareholder Services at 1-800-254-5197 for further assistance with with closed-end fund information. for closed-end fund inquiries for assistance with any question you may have.

How do I buy a closed-end fund?

Closed-end funds may be purchased on an exchange, the same way a stock is purchased. The closed-end funds managed by Allianz Global Investors trade on the New York Stock Exchange. Please speak with your financial advisor about how to purchase a closed-end fund. We do not sell closed-end fund shares directly.

Historical dividend and capital gains information for closed-end funds is available on each fund's performance page under historical data. The data is also available in the Closed-End Funds section of the site under press releases.

How do I sign up to receive newsletters?

Financial advisors must register on the website to receive our e-newsletters. Once registered, advisors can establish a profile and set alert preferences to choose which items they would like to receive.

If you haven’t registered yet, then please go to our Registration page to sign up. You can change your selections at any time by clicking on the appropriate link at the bottom of any e-mail alert you receive.
