Steven Berexa

Global Head of Research

Mr. Berexa, CFA, is a senior portfolio manager and managing director with Allianz Global Investors, which he joined in 1997. He is the Global Head of Research and is involved with the management of several portfolios. Mr. Berexa has 26 years of investment-industry experience and previously worked at Prudential and Chancellor/LGT Asset Management. He has a B.S.E.E. and an M.B.A. from Duke University, where he studied electrical engineering and computer science.

Mr. Chan, CFA, is a portfolio manager and CIO Equity Asia Pacific with Allianz Global Investors, which he joined in 1998. He is responsible for all AllianzGI investment professionals in Asia (excluding Japan) and has more than 22 years of investment-industry experience. Mr. Chan was previously an associate director with Barclays Global. Mr. Chan has a B.A. from the University of Durham, UK, and an M.A. from the University of Exeter.

Franck Dixmier, CIO Fixed Income Europe, joined the Allianz Group in 1995 as Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. In 1998 he became the Head of Fixed Income for AGF Asset Management (the former name of AllianzGI France). In this role he was also responsible for the AGF insurance portfolios. In 2008, Franck became a Member of the Executive Committee, and Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Global Investors France. He was appointed Deputy CEO of AllianzGI France and CIO of AllianzGI Investments Europe in 2010. Franck Dixmier graduated with a Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the Paris Dauphine University (Master’s degree - DEA conjoncture économique et prospective).

Mr. Chan, CFA, is a portfolio manager and CIO Equity Asia Pacific with Allianz Global Investors, which he joined in 1998. He is responsible for all AllianzGI investment professionals in Asia (excluding Japan) and has more than 22 years of investment-industry experience. Mr. Fischer, CFA, is a portfolio manager, an analyst, a managing director and CIO of NFJ, an Allianz Global Investors company. He has more than 45 years of investment-industry experience. Before founding NFJ in 1989, he was chief investment officer (institutional and fixed income), a senior vice president and a senior portfolio manager at NationsBank, which he joined in 1971. Before that, Mr. Fischer was a securities analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank and Clark Dodge Asset Management. He has a B.A. in economics and a J.D. from Oklahoma University, and an M.B.A. from New York University.

Mr. Forsyth, CFA, is a portfolio manager, a managing director and CIO Fixed Income US with Allianz Global Investors. He is the head of the Income and Growth Strategies team. Mr. Forsyth has portfolio management, trading and research responsibilities, and oversees all aspects of the Income and Growth platform’s business, including product development and implementation. He has more than 20 years of investment-industry experience. Before joining the firm in 1994, Mr. Forsyth was an analyst at AEGON USA. He has a B.B.A. from the University of Iowa.

Dr. Reinhold Hafner is CEO of risklab GmbH and CIO of Allianz Global Solutions. He is also Delegated Pension CIO for European Fiduciary Mandates. He advises institutional investors on issues about Strategic Asset Allocation and risk management. He joined risklab GmbH in Munich as a financial engineer in 1997. He has been Head of Market Analytics since 2001. This department dealt with the development of quantitative models for equities and currencies. Dr. Hafner completed his studies in Business Admin at the University of Augsburg in 1997. In spring 2004, he received his Ph.D. on factor-based stochastic implied volatility models from the Economics Department at the University of Augsburg. Dr. Hafner has written numerous articles for renowned professional journals, and regularly lectures at national and international conferences on topical subjects of asset management and financial engineering.
Stefan Hofrichter

Global Head of Economics & Strategy

As Head of the Global Economics & Strategy team since 2011, Stefan’s research covers global economics as well as global and European asset allocation. Stefan joined the firm in 1996 as an equity portfolio manager and assumed his current role as an economist and strategist in 1998. Between 2004 and 2010, he also had responsibility for various retail and institutional mandates, including global and European traditional balanced funds, global multi-asset absolute return and multi-manager alpha-porting funds. Stefan became a member of the firm’s Global Policy Council in 2004 and is a member of the Pan-European Tactical Multi Asset Investment Committee, established in 2013. Stefan holds a Diplom degree in Economics from the University of Konstanz (1995) and in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences of the Deutsche Bundesbank, Hachenburg (1991). Stefan became a CFA Charterholder in 2000.
Lucy MacDonald

Ms. MacDonald is a portfolio manager and a managing director with Allianz Global Investors, which she joined in 2001. She is the chief investment officer of the Global Equities team and manages the Global Equity High Alpha strategy. Ms. MacDonald is also a member of the firm’s Global Policy Council, which is responsible for setting company-wide macro-economic and strategic policy, and a member of the RCM (UK) Ltd board. Ms. MacDonald has 28 years of investment-industry experience. Before joining the firm, she was a director and a senior portfolio manager at Baring Asset Management, where she managed high-alpha funds. Ms. MacDonald has a degree from Bristol University and is an associate of the Society of Investment Professionals.

Mr. Migliori has a B.S. in accounting from University of Southern California, a JD from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Mr. Rohweder is a managing director and Global Chief Investment Officer Multi Asset with Allianz Global Investors, which he joined in 1989. He initiated the systematic asset-management effort for the firm’s equity and multi-asset investments, and was previously a portfolio manager for the firm’s global balanced, European equity and European fixed-income strategies. Mr. Rohweder has 24 years of investment-industry experience. He has an M.A. in economics from Wayne State University and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Kiel, Germany.

Mr. Saichin is CIO Global EM Fixed Income. Prior to joining Allianz Global Investors in 2013, Greg spent 13 years as Head of Emerging Markets & Leveraged Finance Fixed Income funds and Senior Portfolio Manager for Pioneer Investments. At Pioneer, Greg was responsible for €4.5bn in dedicated investments in Emerging Market Debt and High Yield and multi-asset mandates. Greg spent two years at Credit Lyonnais as an associate director in the Emerging Market Debt Group having worked in Emerging Market Debt distribution at Deutsche Bank between 1994 and 1997 and European Capitals Markets distribution at Chemical Bank. Greg started his career in 1984. Greg holds a BA in Business Administration from UBA, Argentina (19894) and an MBA from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania (1988).

He has overall responsibility for all US multi-asset investment functions and is directly responsible for target-date, target-risk and 529 portfolio risk profiles, asset allocation and fund selection. Mr. Sexauer has more than 29 years of investment-industry experience. He has a B.S. in economics from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. with concentrations in economics and statistics from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

David Tan joined Allianz Global Investors in May 2012 as the Head of Investments and Chief Investment Officer, Pan-regional Asia Pacific Fixed Income Mandates. He is responsible for building the Fixed Income team, strengthening the investment process and enlarging the product range. David brings with him a wealth of experience in the management of Asian bonds as well as platform and business development. His experience in managing Asian bonds goes back to 1993. He joins AllianzGI from AXA Investment Managers UK where his last position was Executive Director Fixed Income Asia Pacific and Middle East, with the responsibility for business development. From end of 2008 to early 2011 David was Chief Investment Officer of Kyobo AXA Investment Managers in Korea. Before that David was based in Singapore as Head of Fixed Income Asia, with responsibility for all the bond portfolio management activities in the region. David has 19 years of investment experience and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) with joint majors in Economics from Simon Fraser University, Canada

Dr. Klaus Teloeken is the Co-CIO of the Systematic Equity team. He joined Allianz Global Investors in 1996 as a quantitative analyst, and in 2001 he assumed the role as Head of Systematic Equity. He oversees more than EUR 17 billion of assets under management, and is responsible for the development and the management of systematic investment strategies for equities. In this role, Klaus has developed the team’s Best Styles and High Dividend product line. He is also responsible for the management of the Best Styles Global and High Dividend Global product. Klaus studied mathematics and computer science in Dortmund, Germany.

Mr. Utermann, ASIP, is co-head and Global Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Global Investors. He joined the firm and its Global Executive Committee in 2002. Mr. Utermann has 24 years of investment-industry experience, including 12 years at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (formerly Mercury Asset Management), where he was Global Head and CIO, Equities. He has a B.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics and an M.A. in economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Mr. Utermann is on the board of the CFA Society of the UK and the AMIC Council of the ICMA, and is fluent in English, German, French and Dutch.
Debrorah Zurkow

Before joining Allianz Global Investors, Deborah was CEO of Trifinium Advisors Limited, and head of Public Finance EMEA for MBIA UK Insurance Limited. She was responsible for general oversight for new business efforts in infrastructure, including government-supported entities, transportation, utilities and Public Private Partnerships/Private Finance Initiative financings. Deborah also previously served as a Director of MBIA UK Insurance Limited, and as President of MBIA Assurance S.A. Previously, she managed MBIA’s Paris office, where she was responsible for both structured and public sector business, and worked on a variety of transactions including French securitisations and European local government financings. Before that, Deborah worked in the Public Finance Division at J.P. Morgan Securities. Deborah holds an MBA from Yale School of Management, and a BA from Wellesley College. She is a member of the International Project Finance Association (IPFA) Council of Management.

Since June 2012, Bernhard Speyer has been Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Research, having served as deputy-head since November 2010. In addition to this role, he continues to be the head of the "Banking, Financial Markets and Regulation" department of DB Research, a position held since mid-2001. In this role, he is responsible for briefing the senior management of Deutsche Bank on regulatory issues as well as on structural issues in the financial industry. In addition, he represents Deutsche Bank on these issues in discussions with clients, authorities, parliaments and the general public. Bernhard Speyer had joined Deutsche Bank Research in January 1998 as a Senior Economist responsible for the coverage of issues relating to international monetary and trade policy, structural developments in banking and financial markets as well as regulation and supervision. Current areas of special interest include the structure of financial supervision in the European Union, EU financial market integration, and the governance of the international financial system. Before joining Deutsche Bank Research, Bernhard Speyer was a lecturer at the Economics Department of Freie Universität Berlin, where he taught international monetary policy and trade policy from 1993-1997. A trained banker, he studied economics at the University of Leicester, U.K. and the Freie Universität Berlin, where he graduated. He holds a doctorate in economics from the Freie Universität. He is an alumnus of the British-German Forum (2001), the Young Leaders’ Programmes of the American Council on Germany (2005) and of the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations / Dräger Foundation (2000).

Mr. Parenteau is an economist, an investment strategist and an external advisor to Allianz Global Investors. He is the sole proprietor of MacroStrategy Edge and employs macroeconomic insights to contribute to asset allocation and equity sector selection decisions. Mr. Parenteau has 30 years of industry experience and a B.A., with honors, in political economy from Williams College. He is a CFA charterholder and serves as a research associate of the Levy Economics Institute.
